Mission Statement

The mission of the Downtown Orange Preschool is to create a Christian faith based program which will provide your child with a strong biblical foundation leading to loving and honoring the teachings of Jesus Christ.  We seek to establish an environment where each child feels valued and respected and young minds are nourished with dynamic academic, physical, social and emotional development essential for life-long achievement.  We strive to partner with parents and encourage them to become actively involved in our students educational journey.

Philosophy

Our developmental, play based curriculum is woven with academic learning opportunities allowing children to learn and explore God’s world in a “hands on” environment and at their own pace.  Our clean, well equipped classrooms and playground provides a variety of opportunities for each child to play, explore, and create.

• Physical development through indoor and outdoor play equipment.

• Social and emotional development through exploration and problem solving.

• Language development through an emphasis on listening and verbal skills.

• Stimulation of imagination and creative potential through art and dramatic play.

• Appreciation of music through the use of songs and musical instruments.

• Scientific knowledge through nature and scientific experiments as well as cooking projects.

• Faith based learning through a Spiritual Themes Curriculum Calendar as well as Chapel Time with our Pastors and Staff.
